Hello, I'm Mark Young! My fence blew down and instead of having a big fire.     I decided to  make things out of it.

I like the grains of wood. How it bends, twist and moves. It's fun to watch each piece come to life with the final pass of stain.

Being a transplant to Idaho in '17 I've pottered around making little boxes and frames. Being cursed with a curios mind I'm always wondering how items are put together. 

There is a strict mathematical component to making these crafts. Also there is skill and technique that I acquire with each piece. Still further is an artistic approach and patience needed for finishing a project.

The name.  Y's Woods. Pronounced "wise woods". Simple really, my sir name is Young the logo is the letter Y. And there is my humble astounding brilliance. Through experience becomes wisdom. 

I hope you enjoy the natural beauty of these wood items. My hope is to sell enough items to have a nice dinner with my wife and with no kids! If I sell enough pieces maybe we'll consider bringing them...  maybe.
